Executive Vision

Our Process

The Ark of Rescue Mental Health and Addiction Society: A Global Solution for Homelessness & Recovery offers a transformative response to homelessness, addiction, and reintegration on Vancouver Island, BC. Rooted in unconditional love and global collaboration, it bridges a critical gap between detox and long-term recovery with holistic care delivered abroad. The model replaces systemic delays, stigma, and financial barriers with dignity, opportunity, and structured healing.

The Problem: Cycle of Despair

Despite well-meaning public health efforts, many who detox in BC are left without access to timely rehabilitation, risking relapse or death amid the opioid crisis. High costs at private centres exclude the majority. Even those who complete treatment face housing, employment, and support gaps, creating cycles of regression and public health strain.

The Solution:
Global, Holistic, and Dignified

Ark of Rescue's model provides seamless, post-detox transitions into secure rehabilitation homes in Africa. Participants experience a peaceful, structured 7-month program with vocational training, life-skills education, and optional spiritual growth. The model promotes healing, independence, and moral empowerment, culminating in a carefully planned return to Canada with housing and job support for 6–12 months.

&
Program Delivery

Our Referrals mostly come via BC detox centres and agencies. Case managers conduct comprehensive assessments to ensure medical and emotional readiness for international care. Approved participants receive full travel support and cultural orientation.

In Africa, residents live in staffed, upscale homes with 24/7 care. Training matches Canadian job markets (e.g., IT, trades, hospitality). Spiritual enrichment is offered respectfully and voluntarily.

Reintegration Planning begins in Month 5 and includes employment preparation, housing search, and financial literacy. Upon return to BC, individuals receive subsidies covering rent, food, and transit, enabling smooth reintegration.
